AW17/18 Premium Leather mens range

Working with a premium leather supplier we produced a stunning set of mens and ladies footwear and accessories. Here I feature some of my favourites from the mens range. Raw edges to show off the premium leathers, floating brogue punching as a nod to the classic with a modern twist and pin stud fastening hardware are seen through out.

This supplier owns a tannery that works hand in hand with the footwear factory and the accessories factory, ensuring the best, high quality on trend leather grains and colours are incorporated into the development season upon season.

The stacked leather outsole group is inspired by todays British gentry. Suede contrasted with pebbled leathers and waxed canvas, hiker laces and zig zag edges are seen in abundance. Khaki against chocolate, Navy on tan are classic British styling colours.

My favourite bag from the range is a backpack that can be worn as a tote or also a cross body bag. The straps can be clipped on and off or connected together to create the longer strap. Offering versatility to the consumer and being to wear in more than one way was a feature I really wanted to push on the accessories.

The lace to toe with a deep outsole has been massively on trend for several seasons now. Capitalising on this I designed and developed a high, mid and low. Oxblood is clearly a huge colour for AW17/18 and I really love this unlined, raw edge beauty.

Following on from the influence of SS17 mock trend and a heavy sports outsole styling we created this mock step EVA wedge. The informality of the unit is complimented by the more formal uppers.

Simple tutorial on how to make a baby padder, all leather, hand stitched, raw edge and unlined. On this post I am going to show from start to finish, how to make your own baby shoes, bear in mind, you will need some tools and the pattern is cut from leather and there is no glue. Start with suede as it is more flexible and easier to work with than other treated leathers. It is still good quality suede, soft touch on the skin, inside and out of the shoe...
