This year Pantone have predicted Emerald 17-5641 to be the must have colour in any range! Described as “Lively. Radiant. With the military boot having a strong presence last Winter, the military theme is doing equally as well, utilised last season and going forward to the next in various forms . This SS12 it is taking its shape as lightweight but durable materials and directly borrowing the trusty old military camouflage.
As with most things in fashion (if not all), it’s all about interpretation. Personally I prefer the more subtle take of a camo with a twist than the outright raw traditional blur of colours it used to offer. Take a look at my light hearted and not so literal version of a 21st century camouflage.
