Money Clothing was established in 2003 and ever since has been a firm favourite for apparel and accessories worldwide. Now renowned globally for sewing real money into their jeans, they are storming the scene with modern streetwear. Their range, available here, is a sleek take on classic styling silhouettes, such as the bomber, crew neck and baseball caps, as is the old saying, classic with a modern twist. The styling is loud and unapologetic but very clever and nuanced.
Visiting their Ladbroke Grove studio, I worked along side the design team to create (even if I do say so myself) some awesome accessories. On the bags it was back packs, neck bags, cross bodies and more, plus other great looking items such as socks and beanies.
A truly unconventional head office and a load of fun to design and … Read More »
Featured at London Fashion Week, the Bobby Abley Fall catwalk range was widely received as contemporary, cutting edge and full of his witty humour. Based at his London studio in North Kensington where he is part of the NEWGEN platform, he turns his style visions into style icons. For a couple of years the couture designer has collaborated with Disney, last season the Teletubbies were his inspiration (thanks for the giant Po, my boy loves it!), this Fall 18 is looney tunes.
Lucky enough to work with the designer himself at his London base, I spent some time on accessories with Bobby. Caps, gloves, totes, backpacks and other items were a key part in delivering Mr Abley’s range. A real pleasure to work alongside and see his creative process in person.
Check out his collection and available items here.
For the AW1617 season I worked with an India supplier to design and develop a range of footwear and accessories. Part of this was used in the L&S London limited edition leather range and others in the main range. Retailing at selected suppliers and made in premium leathers this was a real pleasure to work on. The range features small accessories such as ear phone holders, key ring covers and wash bags.
This accessories line was a huge success for me and was a big part of the Lyle and Scott range for that season. A pleasure and privilege for me to work on – the product speaks for itself. Check it out AW16 and enjoy.
Autumn Winter 2015 F&F launch their first true sports line. A comprehensive range of sports and gym gear plus apparel, footwear and accessories. Working alongside the buying team and the Far East factories, we designed, developed and produced some great looking trainers and bags. Have a look at one of the EU videos and check out all the lovely footwear being worn!
The sports shoes had super light weight uppers, made fully in mesh and soft textiles, featuring trendy leopard prints with bold and punchy highlights of coral, neon yellow, purples and sky blues. Making the most of the brights against with a laser cut mesh overlay and eye catching internals. The bags were made fully with the gym and track in mind, yoga mat holders on the underneath with internal wet pockets.
The launch was received positively by bloggers and … Read More »
Season by season the F&F brand has steadily grown and increased its share of the footwear, clothing and accessories market, especially in the UK and Europe. Recently the brand has made an even bigger push into the already established, and new areas of their fashion business, which I have been lucky enough to be at the forefront of. Collaborating closely with the design and buying teams, we have come up with a slick and trendy commercial range of Signature footwear, F&F Accessories and (soon to be unveiled) trendy cutting edge sports footwear… I say no more, but be sure to check out my updated Flickr portfolio in about 4-6 months!

What a great brand! I absolutely love the pedigree and heritage of a company like OP. Consistently producing amazing clothing with real attention to detail, the garments are always complimented by the in-house designed prints. Penguin has an incredibly forward thinking attitude, challenging the conventional from a tailoring point of view, tying in different cuts, constructions and making use of great materials. These features are reflected in the footwear range, trendy and at the forefront of upper high street fashion. Collaborating closely with 2 other fantastic designers, we created an incredibly innovative and frankly, damn good looking range of shoes for the coming season.
OP was conceived in 1955 by a company that has a heritage spanning more than 100 years. The origins of the Penguin itself is an interesting story and you can get a full version of … Read More »
Putting together styles, “working” on ranges and liaising with a brand like Ask the Missus is a real pleasure. Sold exclusively out of the Footwear and Accessories giant that is Office, they truly have their finger on the pulse of British high street fashion. Young, forward thinking and massively on trend there are not a lot of brands better placed to take a big bite out of the footwear and accessories business. Competing with companies such as Schuh and Size, they are an integral part of the British high street footwear market. In that same vein, from a design point of view, there is a real sense of satisfaction to see a product you were a part of, sit on a shelf in a shop like Office.

Shoes have been a staple in the Firetrap collection for some time now, the brand has always been associated with being slightly on the fringe, young and trendy. Most of all, to me it conjures to the mind images of London. I grew up with Firetrap and always had an item or 2 in the wardrobe. So I grabbed the chance to work with the Firetrap head office, collaborating with 2 other designers we designed a re-invigorated, fresh range. Taking inspiration from the in house designed prints, denim collection and clothing samples. Utilising the amazing and easy to work with branding (got to love Deadly!), we produced a great looking range that I am proud to be a part of – available in the shops soon.

For a while now I have worked on the mens and ladies footwear ranges for Bench. Collaborating and using their inspiration from the clothing range, we successfully put together a pretty clean cut, fun and good looking range. Simple uppers, understated branding and the odd funky colour, this was a brilliant project. The mens sports section has a modern smart casual look and the ladies makes the most of eye catching prints. Pull tabs stitched down with a leather tab and X stitched for strength, some really nice detailing and something that offers that little bit extra.
It all started in Manchester in the dynamic late 80s, a time of thriving youth subcultures; skateboarding and bmxing were on the rise and the ‘madchester’ music scene was about to take the world by storm. Bench was at the heart … Read More »
As a footwear designer, I want to work with the best materials, best factories and have a lot of say over the actual design of the project…that doesn’t happen that often (you will not be surprised to hear). However, every now and then a great little project like that does comes along! Working closely with the owners I first began on Society footwear a couple of years ago, now I am lucky enough to work on the range every season. This really is a great part of what I get to do and I genuinely feel very privileged to give design input on this high quality, understated, distinctly British label. To view the range in its entirety you will have to check it out at the shops.
